Our Board comprises eight members – six non-executive and two executive directors – who bring a vast amount of international banking and local markets expertise.
Mr Aven is Chairman of the Board of Directors at Alfa Bank and ABH Holdings S.A., Board member at LetterOne Group. Between 1994 and 2011, Peter served as a President of Alfa Bank growing it into the largest privately-held bank in Russia. Served as a Minister of Foreign Economic Relations of Russian Federation (1991-1992).

Mr Aven is Chairman of the Board of Directors of ABH Holdings S.A., a member of the supervisory board of Alfa-Bank (Ukraine), Chairman of the board of directors of Alfa-Bank (Russia), Chairman of the board of directors at AlfaStrakhovanie PLC and a member of the board of directors of FIBR Financial Technologies Holdings S.A. (a digital innovation hub within ABH Holdings S.A. Group).
Mr Aven is a member of the board of directors of the New Economic School (NES) and a member of the President’s Council on International Activities of Yale University (USA). He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Moscow State University named after Lomonosov, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Geographical Society, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and a Trustee of the Royal Academy of Arts (Great Britain).
Since April 2006, he has been a member of the Board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. In addition, Mr Aven is a member of the Presidium of Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC). He is also a professor at the State University Higher School of Economics and Honorary Doctor (Dr.h.c.) of the University of Latvia.
He graduated from the Moscow State University in 1977 and holds a PhD in Econometrics. Mr Aven was born in Moscow, Russia in 1955.
Mr Fridman, one of the original founders of Alfa Group Consortium, is Chairman of the supervisory board of Alfa Group Consortium, one of the largest privately owned financial-industrial conglomerates in Russia.
He is also a member of the Board of Directors of ABH Holdings S.A., a member of the board of directors of Alfa-Bank (Russia), a member of the supervisory board of X5 Retail Group and a member of the supervisory board of A1 Investment Holding S.A.

Mr Fridman is a member of the Board of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and a member of the National Council on Corporate Governance. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys in 1986. Mr Fridman was born in Lvov, Ukraine in 1964.
Mr Kosogov is a member of the Board of Directors of ABH Holdings S.A., a member of the board of directors of AlfaStrakhovanie Group, a member of the board of directors of Alfa-Bank (Russia), Chairman of the board of directors of Alfa-Capital Management Company LLC and Chairman of the board of directors of Rissa Investments Limited (IDS Borjomi International Group).

From November 2005 to June 2009, Mr Kosogov acted as Chairman of the supervisory board of Alfa-Bank (Ukraine). From 2005 to 2011 he served as Chairman of the board of directors of Alfa Asset Management and from 2003 to 2007 acted as Chairman of the board of directors of AlfaStrakhovanie Group. From 1998 to 2005, Mr Kosogov was First Deputy Chairman of the management board of Alfa-Bank (Russia) and director of its Investment Banking division. From 1992 to 1998, Mr Kosogov served as CEO of Alfa-Capital Management Company LLC.
Mr Kosogov graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in 1987. He was born in Sillamaё, Estonia in 1961.
Mr Maffezzoni has held various board positions and is currently a board member of CNP UniCredit Vita S.p.A. and ABH Holdings S.A.
He graduated from Business Administration at Bocconi University in 1997. After lecturing and research at Bocconi, Mr Maffezzoni joined UniCredit in 1998. As a member of the group’s M&A team, he worked on major acquisition and reorganisation projects carried out by the UniCredit group until 2008, including the expansion into CEE and the merger with HVB.

From 2008 to 2011, Mr Maffezzoni led the Strategy and Planning unit of UniCredit Private Banking Division. He worked on the new European business model and development of the division’s internal and external growth strategies. He then moved to the Planning Department in April 2011, where he headed F&SME Planning.
In 2012, Mr Maffezzoni became Head of Group Investor Relations. Later, in September 2013, he was appointed Head of Group Planning, Strategy and Capital Management, covering at the same time, and ad interim, the IR position until June 2014. That gave him an opportunity to work on the Group Multi Year Plan 2013-2018 from both strategy and communications perspective.
From October 2015, he served as Head of Strategy, Business Development and M&A Department, focusing on Business Development activity such as Bancassurance, Credit Cards and the Strategic Review, completed in December 2016.
In April 2017, Mr Maffezzoni was appointed Head of Strategy and M&A of UniCredit S.p.A.

Lord Davies is a Partner and Chairman of Corsair Capital, a private equity firm specialising in financial services. He is also Chairman of LetterOne, Chairman of the Lawn Tennis Association, Chairman of Intermediate Capital Group, Chairman of the UK India Business Council, Interim Chairman of Glyndebourne Productions Ltd, and an adviser to Teneo.
He was Minister for Trade, Investment, Small Business and Infrastructure from January 2009 until May 2010. Prior to that, Lord Davies was Chairman – and previously CEO – and served on the board of Standard Chartered for over 12 years.

He was awarded a CBE for his services to the financial sector and the community in Hong Kong in June 2002, where he served as a member of the HK Exchange fund for seven years. Lord Davies is a JP in Hong Kong, and he is an Honorary Distinguished Professor at Cardiff Business School.
Lord Davies is married with two children and is a fluent Welsh speaker.
Being an ABHH Board member, Mr Atnashev also serves as Director of Group Portfolio Management at CTF Consultancy Limited.

Before joining CTF, Mr Atnashev was the Dean of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO from 2016 to 2019. From 2011 to 2015, he was Vice President Major Projects and Head of Iron Ore Division at EVRAZ plc. From 2000 to 2010, he worked for TNK (TNK-BP after 2003) in various positions in supply chain management, finance and major project management.
Mr Atnashev graduated from the State University of Management (Moscow) in 1999 and holds a PhD in Economics. He also holds an MBA from INSEAD (2002) and an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School (2016).
Mr Baxter has been CFO and a Board member of ABH Holdings S.A. since 2016, and also serves on the boards of Alfa-Bank (Russia), Alfa-Bank (Ukraine), Amsterdam Trade Bank (Netherlands), Absolutely No Nonsense Admin Ltd. (UK) and FIBR Financial Technologies Holdings S.A. (Luxembourg). He was previously Deputy Chairman of the management board and CFO of Alfa-Bank (Russia) (2005-2013).

Mr Baxter is currently chairman of both the audit committee and the risk committee of Alfa-Bank (Russia), as well as the strategy committee of Alfa-Bank (Ukraine) and the remuneration and nominating committees of Amsterdam Trade Bank. In addition, Mr Baxter serves on various other board committees, including the digital transformation committee of Amsterdam Trade Bank and the cyber security and technology committee of Alfa-Bank (Ukraine).
Prior to joining ABHH, Mr Baxter spent time as CFO, and subsequently Partner, at SUN Group (1999-2005), Renaissance Capital (1997-1999), the US Russia Investment Fund (1994-1995) and CS First Boston, based in Moscow.
Mr Baxter began his career in 1988 with Deloitte & Touche in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He also holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Accountancy degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand.
Mr Nazariyan is Secretary of the Board and Managing Director of ABH Holdings S.A. He is also the Chairman of Alfa Capital Markets and Alfa Asset Management (Europe), and a board member of ABH Financial. From 1999 to 2002 Pavel served as CFO of Alfa Bank Holdings Ltd., the ultimate holding company of the Alfa Banking Group.

Mr Nazariyan received his Master of Engineering from the Bauman Moscow State Technical University and Master of Economics with Honors from the Moscow International Marketing and Management Academy. He is a graduate of Senior Executive and Mergers & Acquisitions executive programmes at London Business School. He also completed Corporate Restructuring, Financial Instruments & Markets, and Valuation programmes at Harvard Business School, and graduated from the Strategic Management in Banking and Leading from the Chair executive programmes at INSEAD.
